Sept. 7 - Day 2 - The Journey Begins

Day One

The road trip is underway. We said goodbye to Lori, Cade, CJ and Cecilia at 10:45 and headed for Route 44. It was a peaceful and uneventful drive. The route we selected was as follows:

Route 44 East to
Route 7 North to
Interstate 90 East (Mass. Pike) to
Interstate 91 North to
Route 10 North

We stopped at a small parking area for lunch along the banks of the Westfield River outside of Stockbridge, MA. It was a quiet and scenic spot that set the tone for the day’s travels.
Our destination was the Ashuelot River Campground near Keene, New Hampshire.

We arrived at the campground around 3:00 and were greeted by the owner, Mark Manougian. Mark was very helpful and anxious to share his information about the area.
The campground is located directly on the Ashuelot River which was very muddy today due to last evening’s heavy downpours.

We plan to spend a relaxing evening in and around the coach in preparation of joining the Leap’n Lions tomorrow at the Lake Winnipesaukee Rally in Loudon, NH.
