Sept. 8 - Day 3 - The Rally Begins

Day Two

Our destination today was the rally point in Loudon, New Hampshire. We stopped in Keene for lunch at a coffee house called The Works. It has been a favorite of ours since Lori, our daughter, attend Keene State College. The drive from Keene was filled with beautiful scenery and quaint little towns. The final leg of the drive took us directly through the business district of Concord, NH.

The rally leaders, George and Sue Boley were able to make arrangements with the Faith Community Bible Church for us to use their parking lot as a staging area for the rally.
As the rally attendees arrived, old friendships were renewed and new friendships made as can be seen in the photo array.

At 4:00 George and Sue called a meeting of the attendees and reviewed the itinerary of the rally and an update on upcoming rallies for 2009. There was also discussion of rallies being considered for 2010.

After the meeting, we were invited by the church to attend a spaghetti and meatball dinner complete with salad, garlic bread and finished with homemade pie.

It was the perfect ending to a wonderful day of travel and fellowship.
